The Journey, Day by Day

Day 1

Departure

Leaving Johannesburg via Singapore Airlines to Bangkok — the journey to the Far East begins.

Days 2–4

Bangkok

We begin in the vibrant city of Bangkok — a sensory explosion of golden temples, incense-filled alleyways, bustling markets, rooftop restaurants, and river ferries. A city tour by private bus and an excursion to the historic Damnoen Saduak Floating Market are included.

Day 5

Overnight Train to Chiang Mai

In the afternoon we board the iconic overnight train north to Chiang Mai, journeying through the scenic Thai countryside — a beautiful and authentic travel experience.

Days 6–7

Sacred North · Chiang Mai

Wake to misty mountains, lush jungle, and the peaceful atmosphere of Northern Thailand — a slower rhythm rich in temples, mountain culture, and charming cafés. Our private bus departs for the Hilltribe villages to experience the traditions and way of life of the mountain communities.

Day 8

The White Temple & Lao Border

A final exploration of Thailand, visiting the magnificent White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) — a modern spiritual masterpiece shimmering under the sunlight, filled with symbolic Buddhist artwork representing awakening, wisdom, and transformation.

Day 9

Crossing into Laos & the Mekong River

We cross to the Lao border, meet our local guide, and begin one of the most magical parts of the adventure — a slow boat along the legendary Mekong River. As the boat glides through untouched landscapes and remote villages, time seems to dissolve. By evening we arrive at a tranquil riverside stay.

Day 10

Pakbeng to Luang Prabang

Waking along the riverside, we enjoy an early breakfast before continuing our cruise, disembarking in the afternoon in Luang Prabang. Silence and spaciousness, river sunsets, traditional village life, deep rest, and a feeling of timeless travel.

Days 11–12

Luang Prabang

We stay at our beautiful hotel in this UNESCO World Heritage town — French-colonial charm, golden temples, sacred rituals, stunning waterfalls, and a profound sense of tranquillity. Gentle, soulful, and deeply calming.

Days 13–15

Siem Reap & Angkor Wat

Flying into Cambodia, we arrive in Siem Reap — gateway to one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World. Early one morning our private bus departs for an unforgettable sunrise over Angkor Wat — truly magical and deeply spiritual. The following day we return to explore the extensive park, deep in ancient jungle and timeless Khmer heritage.

Day 16

Return to Bangkok

We fly back to Bangkok for our final night together — a time for integration and reflection. Enjoy last-minute shopping, soothing massages, and delicious cuisine, gathering in the evening for a farewell dinner to celebrate the memories and connections made along the way.

Day 17

Leaving Bangkok

Our bus transfers us to the airport as we depart Bangkok, bidding farewell to the Far East — carrying lasting memories, meaningful experiences, and the spirit of the journey we have shared.

Day 18

Arrival in Johannesburg

Arrival back in Johannesburg, bringing our journey to a close with unforgettable memories and a deeper connection to the cultures, landscapes, and people we encountered along the way.

Chrisna is a qualified International Applied Kinesiologist, initiated into African shamanic traditions, who offers intuitive, hands-on healing that blends energy medicine, emotional support, and traditional ceremony. Her presence is grounded and heart-centered.

On this journey she weaves spiritual practice, ceremony, and the wisdom of sacred lands into an experience of awakening and remembrance across the Far East.
