Recharge in the Indian Himalayas
(Postponed due to Covid-19)
A journey to India will open you up to a completely new worldview. On this adventure you will get new perspectives, new thoughts and new ideas on how to navigate through life. It’s a mindfulness experience like no other. We explore the more mystical asp of life, do Kundalini Yoga & Meditation, enjoy great food, laugh a lot and generally review the more important matters of life. All of this with the intent to be happier, calmer and a little more settled.
This is not a physically demanding trip and we will take good care of you every step of the way. We take it very easy and you will have lots of time to chill with a great cup of coffee and apple pie in some of the charming coffee shops. Nothing on this trip is compulsory (to attend) should you not feel to it.
19 March: Depart from Johannesburg, starting the journey to India
20 March: Arrive in the early morning in Mumbai. Start the day with a Kundalini Yoga & Meditation session to prepare yourself for a “tough” day exploring the busy life of real India
21 March: Fly from Mumbai to Rishikesh the centre of spiritual and religious activities since ancient times. It is one of the holy places of India and located in the foothills of the Himalayas. Become part of the real yogi-life when staying in an Ashram and embrace the day with “Rise and Shine” on the banks of the Ganges river.
25 March: Leaving Rishikesh in bus to Shimla (7 hours) where magic is in the air, beyond comparison. It’s called the Queen of the Hill Stations and become your very own “Queen / King” in this majestic city. Amidst the Glen forest lies the tranquil Chadwick waterfall. Located 7 km from Shimla, the waterfall is an ideal place to start your day with a Yoga & Meditation. The combination of aesthetic beauty and a serene environment makes it perfect for catching up on some solitude. And yes, witnessing sunrise is one of the best things to do in Shimla and will be needed to keep your sanity and prepare the shopaholics when visiting the Lakkar Bazer.
27 March: After 8 hours drive by bus, relax in the hot springs of Manikaran, a small town in the mountains. The hot springs are associated to holiness. It is believed that people after taking a bath and drinking the water of these hot springs attain salvation, washes away all your sin (definitely recommended). Examination of the hot springs, it has been found that the spring waters contain radioactive minerals and natural uranium.
29 March: Leaving early in the morning to reach Dharamsala. It’s a small town full of Tibetan Monks and the residence of the 14th Dalai Lama located in Mcloedgang and surrounded by Mountains. A must visit Place.. You can see a lot of Buddhist followers performing their rituals. With serene and peaceful surrounding, one may get connected to inner self while spinning prayer wheels around the temple and may get charged up spiritually. Mcleodganj is also known for the myriad Ayurvedic healing therapies and spa treatments for the complete rejuvenation of body and mind.
